This modular product platform allows electric vehicles to be plugged in and recharged while at a parking meter.EnergieParken’s novel concept allows users to freely select their preferred electricity provider from those integrated into the system. Vehicle recharging costs are simply included on users’ home energy bills. As the only system in the world with these functionalities, EnergieParken demonstrates a serious commitment to eco-friendly mobility. Since its inception in 2009, EnergieParken has evolved from concept to reality. Pentair Technical Products has been there every step of the way, with enclosures supplied by our Schroff brand. Our responsibilities have included production of the outdoor cabinet enclosure, integration of the system and serving as initial project manager. Pentair’s Schroff Enclosures Helps Shape the Future for Electric CarsPentair is proud of our role in developing a product that represents a major step forward in shaping our future energy use and transportation. We are working together on this solution with energy producers and distributors, communities, city marketing managers, parking facility operators and automobile manufacturers. Currently, EnergieParken is being planned for use first in Germany and throughout Europe, with opportunities for global expansion.
