The Pentair Foundation

Established in 1998, The Pentair Foundation supports communities in which Pentair operates. Through local employee-managed councils, the Foundation funds programs that promote education, sustainability in water and energy, and workforce readiness.

Pentair dedicates two percent of its annual pre-tax income to charitable efforts. Over the years, The Pentair Foundation has directed more than $20 million to Pentair communities and recently received the Jefferson Awards for Corporate Giving.

Education

Education is the key to success: that's why the Pentair Foundation prioritizes education programs ranging from those targeting disadvantaged youth to career transition and readiness. The Foundation funds programs serving traditional and non-traditional learners from early learning to post-secondary and beyond with a focus on science and technology including K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).

Community

The Pentair Foundation helps communities improve the welfare of their citizens with a focus on water quality, conservations and energy issues. Believing that those in the community are best suited to identify needs and create solutions, the Pentair Foundation also supports a broad platform of community initiatives.

Special Initiatives

The Pentair Foundation and Water Missions International partnered to develop Project Safewater, a multi-year research program to determine whether it’s possible to provide affordable, safe drinking water to people in underdeveloped regions around the world, specifically, Colon, Hunduras.
