What causes acidic well water?
-
Acid rain due to atmospheric carbon dioxide, runoff from mining spoils, and decomposition of plant materials can cause your well water to turn acidic.

What maintenance is required?
-
The only required maintenance is to refill the tank with calcite approximately once a year. You may need to replace the calcite more frequently depending on your water’s pH and your water usage. The beige tank allows you to easily view the media level by shining a flashlight against the tank.
