Here are some problem solving tips that will help you troubleshoot if you are continuing to experience issues with IntelliCenter remote control capabilities in the Pentair Pool app.
IntelliCenter Shows a Gray Dot in the App
If your IntelliCenter was installed prior to May 25 and your system appears in the Pentair Pool app but shows a gray dot (and cannot be controlled), a simple reboot will typically resolve the issue.
- Go to the IntelliCenter outdoor control panel at the equipment pad.
- Press Settings.
- Use the down arrow to scroll to Reboot This Panel.
- Select Reboot.
After one minute, reopen the Pentair Pool app. Your IntelliCenter should now show a green dot under Remote Networks, indicating it is connected and ready to control.
If you created a new Pentair Pool App account AND your new IntelliCenter was installed May 25 – May 28
You will need to log out of your existing Pentair Pool App account and create a new account using a different email address as the account setup was not working properly during this period.
- Go to your IntelliCenter outdoor control panel at the equipment pad.
- Press Settings.
- Use the down arrow to scroll to Pentair User Portal.
- Select Add New Account.
- Enter a Property Name
- Select Email
- Use the back button to erase the old email.
- Enter a different email
- Press the Check mark.
- Press the Check Mark again.
- Press Enter Password and enter a new password with following criteria:
- Minimum of 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one special character
- Spaces are not recommended.
- Press the Check Mark
- Press Re-enter Password and re-enter the password.
- Press the Check Mark
- Press the Check mark to confirm.
- Create a new Pentair Pool App account using the new (different) email address and password. (used in step 8 and 11)
This will pair your IntelliCenter system to your new Pentair Pool account.
