COMMON QUESTIONS

Pool Safety FAQs for Professionals

What is the NDPA Aquatic and Pool Professional Safety Toolkit?

The NDPA Aquatic and Pool Professional Safety Toolkit is a collection of professional-grade safety checklists, barrier inspection guides, and educational posters designed specifically for pool builders and service technicians to use with homeowners.

Am I providing safety training by distributing these materials?

No. These materials are created and owned by the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. Your role is to distribute them, not to train or instruct. Pentair's role is the same — distribution only.

What is the NDPA Safety Presentation replay?

The NDPA Safety Presentation is a recorded educational session authored and delivered by NDPA experts. Accessing it requires an email submission. It is not produced or narrated by Pentair.

How do Water Watcher Cards work?

Water Watcher Cards are physical cards you hand to homeowners. The designated adult holds the card during any swim session — it signals that they are the active, distraction-free supervisor for that period. Cards rotate every 15–20 minutes.

Can I include NDPA materials in my customer packets?

Yes. NDPA materials may be distributed and included in homeowner packets. All content must retain NDPA attribution and branding — do not modify the materials.

Where can I direct homeowners for CPR training?

Direct homeowners to the American Red Cross (redcross.org) or local community programs. As a pool professional, your role is to refer — not to provide CPR training directly.
