Watch Before Opening or Cleaning

Pentair Quad D.E. Cartridge Style Filters have a large filter area for increased dirt capacity, and if the pressure gauge shows that the system is running at 10 PSI higher than its starting pressure, it is time for a cleaning. To ensure your pool cartridge filter is clean, you'll need to watch this safety video and gather a few tools before diving in. Be sure to consult a pool professional before performing maintenance or attempting pool filter cleaning on your own, or call a servicer outright if you're unsure of how to clean a pool filter.

Four-Cartridge Design

The Quad D.E. filter’s four large-capacity cartridges provide maximum filter surface area for greater dirt-trapping capacity. When water passes through these cartridges, microscopic impurities like dirt, algae and some forms of bacteria are filtered out, giving you water that really sparkles.

How to Safely Service a
Quad D.E.® Cartridge Style Filter

1: Valves must be purchased separately.

Note: Operating Limits – maximum continual operating pressure of 50 psi. Pool/spa (bather) applications, maximum operating water temperature (internal filter) 104°F (40°C).

Note: Actual system flow will depend on plumbing size and other system components.

Note: Pentair Aquatic Systems does not recommend flow rates above 150 GPM.

* Integrated continuous High Flow internal air relief is operational only when there is unobstructed flow in the circulating system.

*Pentair has a trained team of TradeGrade experts and third-party resources that will be scouring the internet 24/7 for TradeGrade violations. Our guarantee to you is that we will use all resources at our disposal to actively monitor and enforce this policy. If a TradeGrade product is sold online, the warranty will be limited to a 60-day limited warranty. Pentair will not be liable for any costs or expenses related to an extended warranty provided to a customer beyond the 60-day limited warranty that Pentair provides for such sales. Additionally, no PIP dollars will be rewarded to the dealer for the purchase.
