Celebrating Women’s History Month: Embracing Equity

Throughout the month of March, our Women’s Resource Group (WRG) hosted a variety of events for women and allies to honor Women’s History month.

The month kicked off with International Women’s Day (IWD) which recognizes and celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and signals a call to action to accelerate women’s equity. This year the theme of International Women’s Day was Embrace Equity – which marks a global call that we must answer today and every day.


The WRG hosted an event for employees that featured a conversation with executive leaders about how we can all embrace equity. Our leaders noted that to really embrace equity, we must first understand the difference between equity and equality. Members of our WRG also provided their thoughts on what equity means to them. The equity conversation continued throughout the month with WRG-hosted, one-to-one connection chats and roundtable discussions held virtually and in person at many of our global office locations. Participants candidly discussed equity and shared their experiences and ideas on how we can advocate for ourselves and each other.

The Women’s Resource Group plays an important role in helping our employees embrace equity, with a mission of contributing to the development and advancement of women at Pentair through a supportive, collaborative global community sharing experiences and ideas while impacting business goals.
